Congratulations to Carl Palin (year 12 and Beaumont Male Athlete of the Year)who competed in the English Schools Athletics Championships for Hertfordshire at the Alexander Sadium, Birminghan on the 9th and 10 July this year.
Carl ran the 400m, coming 3rd in his heat in a time of 50.96s, not only qualifying for the semi final but also breaking the school record for the second time in the season. In the semi final Carl ran 51.19s and finished 7th. His time placed him 14th in the Country, an outstanding achievement from a committed and talented athlete. Well done Carl!
